See the mutabbaq
Thick, cold and made from whole fruit, the way juice is poured across Yemen. A single fruit, a blend like Berry Bliss, or a shake with fruit and cream.

At the table
Every mutabbaq comes off the griddle cut into nine pieces, with lemon to squeeze over the top, pickles and pink turnips. Eat it with your hands, the way it’s eaten in Yemen.
Red zhug
A spicy Yemeni sauce made with red peppers.
Mango pickle mayo
Creamy and tangy, with a little sweetness.
Garlic sauce
Smooth and bright, for those who like it mild.
Made to order
Four steps, done by hand for every order. It takes a few minutes, and it’s worth the wait.
A ball of soft dough is stretched by hand until it’s thin enough to see through.
Eggs and herbs, Akkawi cheese, minced beef or tuna. Or cream and honey, Nutella, Dubai chocolate.
The sides fold over the filling into a tight square parcel, sealed all the way round.
It cooks on a hot flat griddle until the outside crackles, then it’s cut into squares.

Open every day, 11 am – 11 pmAbout Salam
Salam Juice & Mutbaq opened on South Greenville Avenue in Richardson in March 2026 with a simple idea: serve two Yemeni street classics properly. Our mutabbaq is stretched by hand, folded around cheese, spiced beef, tuna or something sweet, crisped on the griddle and cut into nine pieces, with red zhug, mango pickle mayo and garlic sauce on the side.
The juice bar pours thick, cold juices, fruit blends and shakes made to order from fresh fruit, including the Salam Araysi, the juice Yemenis serve at weddings. For dessert there’s masoub, areeka and Dubai chocolate mutabbaq, all made to share.
The rest of the menu covers falafel bowls and saj wraps, grilled chicken, hummus, baba ghanoush, tabbouleh, fattoush and warm Yemeni khameer bread. We’re open every day from 11 am to 11 pm, a short drive from Plano, Garland and North Dallas. Eat in, pick up, or plan your visit.
